Two major themed events kick off the Christmas season in Seville: the lighting of the Christmas lights, of course—there’s already an estimated date for 2026—and the Nativity Scene Fair.
The Seville Nativity Scene Merchants Association (ACOBE) is once again organizing this popular craft fair between Seville Cathedral and the Archivo de Indias. This 33rd edition takes place starting this weekend, from November 7 through December 22.
This year’s event features 12 exhibitors where, as tradition dictates, vendors will offer their handcrafted nativity scene items.
Stunning scenes, mechanisms that set windmills and rivers in motion, livestock and characters of all kinds, and tiny details ranging from small bread rolls to strings of garlic or cured meats.
Since 2023, this tradition—which represents Andalusia’s nativity scene culture—has been designated a Site of Cultural Interest (BIC) for its ethnological significance in Andalusia.
Craft Stalls and Christmas Activities

Whether you’re looking to bring some life (and craftsmanship) to your nativity scene at home or simply to browse the vendors’ wares, a stroll through this Christmas market is a must-do in Seville.
A variety of shapes, sizes, styles, and materials fill the diorama stalls (including Playmobil) along Avenida de la Constitución. You’ll find figurines, various types of ornaments, moss, and other decorations to customize your nativity scene to your liking. Of course, the lights will have to wait a few more days.
This year’s participants are:
- Antigua Cerería del Salvador, Artesanía San Julián, M. José Romero, Gregorio García Colón, Oscar Lazarte, Alfares, Gloria Botonero, and Marieta Artesanía in Constitución.
- And featuring Fray Ceferino Belenes San Juan Bosco, Pichardo Belenes, Artesanía Híspalis, Olga Bobadilla, La Casa del Belenista, and Jorge Antequera.
