With the Seville Book Fair (FELISE) on the horizon, one might wonder who would open this major literary event in Seville in late October. The answer is now known: on October 28, television host Roberto Leal will serve as the FELISE’s opening speaker.
The selection is no coincidence; the Seville-born journalist has a long history of writing, with several published books, including his latest work of fiction, *El sótano*.
In the words of Roberto Leal:
This year’s festival returns to the same location as in previous years; due to construction work in Plaza Nueva, it will once again be held in the Murillo Gardens through November 8.
It is known that at least 55 booths and exhibitors will enliven this area near the Santa Cruz neighborhood, where writers, publishers, and, of course, thousands of readers eager for new works and literary events will gather .
