Meet the artists of Polar Sound Occident 2026
Several old friends of the festival will be performing at Polar Sound Occident 2026. For example, Taburete will be back on stage to present the new show from their tour , “El perro que fuma” (The Dog That Smokes). If you witnessed what happened in 2024, you’ll undoubtedly be looking forward to a repeat performance.
Other “repeat performers” include Siloé. The pop rock band from Valladolid had such a good time at Polar Sound Occident 2025 that they are returning in 2026 to play songs from their latest album, Santa Trinidad (with hits such as Todos los besos), as well as great songs from their previous albums.

They are joined by true legends in their genres. On the one hand, the more indie pop rock of Lori Meyers, experts in the art of composing catchy, sing-along choruses.
On the other hand, Juan Magán, the “king of Latin electro,” a fusion genre of electronic music with urban rhythms that will have us burning up the dance floor with songs like Bailando por ahí, Mal de amores, and He llorado (como un niño). He will be in charge of closing the 2026 edition with a stellar finale.
And let’s not forget a good diva: Leire Martínez has forged a solid career as the voice of La Oreja de Van Gogh for 17 years, a stage that now gives way to her first steps as a solo artist.
Another powerful female presence is that of Paula Mattheus who, with her folk notes and intimate verses, will tug at the heartstrings of the audience, proving that singer-songwriter music also has a place at a party-oriented festival.
Another singer-songwriter who will give his all at Polar Sound Occident 2026 is Pavlenha, an artist who “didn’t want to be the typical guitar player,” as he stated in an interview with Nuevas Frecuencias, and who gradually and almost unwittingly became one of the new voices with a unique ability to connect with the audience at every live performance.
They are followed by stage veterans such as Sexy Zebras, an indie rock band with a 20-year career, during which they have released six studio albums and have not stopped touring the peninsula. Their latest album, Bravo, was released in April last year.
Then there is Marlon, who have been on stage for more than 10 years playing their rebellious and heartfelt pop rock. Their music has clear influences such as 80s pop (Los Ronaldos, Hombres G, Los Rodríguez…) and 60s British pop (Beatles, Rolling Stones…). From this mix, they manage to create their own style, with catchy songs such as “Olvidé olvidarte” or their most recent single, “Confesarte.”
And the freshness is provided by two young artists with great potential. On the one hand, Hey Kid, a singer-songwriter (whose real name is Santi Vancells) ready to surprise us with his intimate and sincere live performance with songs such as “Nuestra historia,” his latest single released just a few weeks ago. On the other hand, Besmaya, a Madrid-based duo formed by Javi Ojanguren and Javi Echávarri, who play with that “relaxed pop” (as they call it) between electronic and organic on their album.
And to top it all off, the party, the pomp, the delirium, nothing like a good DJ session until late into the night. The end of Friday’s party will be served by the iconic DJ Nano and the incombustible Ardiya, and Saturday’s party will be led by Luigii Nieto, an essential presence at every Polar Sound Occident.
