Hilarious, charming, or downright side-splitting. The performing arts encompass a multitude of genres, and comedy—often maligned—promises the escape we may need as we settle back into the routine that spring still brings. And beyond the Feria and Holy Week, Seville’s stages are also filled with comedy events, stand-up shows, and open mics.
A variety of themes and performances designed to entertain and surprise audiences at various bars, venues, and theaters across the city await us in the coming weeks.

Cuatrogatos is one of those versatile bars where you can just as easily play a game of Trivialaso as you can attend a concert, a carnival night, or an afternoon of laughter. Or “jajas,” as Pabloshurmano would say.
Tardeo de jajas brings together some of the elements that characterize the comedian and actor: stand-up, improv, audience participation, jokes, live songs, performances, screenings,…
You have to come to San Julián to get a feel for the neighborhood and check out what’s new from Pablo Díaz.
More events at Cuatrogatos
In addition to the usual comedy shows hosted by Pabloshurmano at this Seville bar, there are many other afternoon stand-up performances scattered throughout the fall and winter:

One of Seville’s premier open-mic shows is back for a new season in downtown Seville.
Comedia al dente kicks off on June 9 at Lady Drama, where promising comedians and established figures from the national and even international scene will take the stage.
Pablo Suricato and Jesús Mosby host this show, which , as the Los de Juana team emphasizes, “is a commitment to the local audience.”
We know that Seville has a very refined sense of humor. Comedia al Dente is our way of saying: “Here you go, with the quality you deserve.”
Seating is limited; we recommend purchasing tickets in advance.

FACA 2027 (TBD)

Seville has a wide range of plans lined up for next February, welcoming the dawn of the year with dance, music, and—as we’ll discuss here—humor. The Andalusian Festival of Alternative Comedy (FACA) returns to Seville to celebrate its fourth edition.
Born out of PCR Comedy, the monthly show created by Pabloshurmano and Suricato Capitán, it has already become an ambitious event that will take place over 12 hours and feature more than 30 Andalusian comedians.
