Vintage markets, food fairs, and other outdoor events signal the change of seasons. Joining them is the Toy Street Market, which returns to Seville on October 17 for those who enjoy collecting ’80s Barbies, completing sticker albums, or buying Pokémon cards.
For the event, it will be held on the plaza in front of the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Avenida Eduardo Dato. And admission, as usual, is free.
More than 30 exhibitors will bring vintage toys, customized pieces, anime figures, LEGO, and Playmobil to buy, sell, and trade.
There will also be Barbie, Nancy, Chabel, Nenuco, Action Man, and Star Wars items, as well as coins, banknotes, pins, Pokémon cards, and soccer trading cards from various eras.
A day with K-pop taking center stage
The free program will kick off at 12:30 p.m. with “Our K-pop Warriors,” an activity where the audience can dance, sing, and play alongside the performers.
Also, at 1:15 p.m., the K-pop character costume contest will begin, featuring two categories:
- Children up to age 15 can enter a contest with a prize of a toy set valued at 75 euros.
- And for those 16 and older: a 75-euro gift certificate to spend at the fair itself.
The following workshops round out the day:
- At 1:30 p.m., there will be a slime workshop for children ages 5 and up.
- Vase-making workshop using recycled materials at 5:30 p.m.
- Finally, at 6:30 p.m., there will be a mask-making workshop inspired by favorite characters.
Sticker Swap Meet
Another reason to head to the Nervión neighborhood is the trading card swap meet. Specifically, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., collectors can trade duplicates and search for that missing piece.
Anyone who collects trading cards and stickers featuring soccer, Pokémon, Stranger Things, K-pop, Lorcana, or One Piece—among other themes—is invited. The first 25 people to arrive with their album to trade will receive two packs of LaLiga Este trading cards.
