Next Friday, September 25, 2026, running enthusiasts and fans of popular sports will gather for the 38th edition of the KH7 Guadalquivir Night Run, Europe’s most important nighttime race.
At 10:00 p.m., the starting gun will fire for a record-breaking event that will bring together 26,000 runners through the heart of Seville.
A historic first: the race will reverse its route in 2026
The big surprise of this year’s race is the reversal of the circuit’s direction. Although the race retains its iconic 8.5-kilometer route skirting the historic center and the 1929 Ibero-American Exposition, participants will run it in the opposite direction from previous editions:
- Access to the starting area will be available starting at 9:00 p.m. in the designated areas.
- The race starts at 10:00 p.m. from the Paseo de las Delicias (Glorieta de Buenos Aires).
- New route (reverse direction): Paseo de las Delicias, Glorieta de los Marineros, La Rábida, Palos de la Frontera, Avenida de El Cid, and Plaza Juan de Austria. Runners will then take Recaredo, María Auxiliadora, Ronda de Capuchinos, Muñoz León, Parlamento de Andalucía, and Resolaa. They will then reach the Glorieta Duquesa de Alba and return via Torneo, Arjona, and Paseo de Cristóbal Colón.
- Finish line: a return to the Paseo de las Delicias, culminating at the Glorieta de Buenos Aires.
Race Bib Pickup
Although registration remains open via the official IMD website of the Seville City Council until Friday, September 25, at 1:00 p.m., the last race bibs have already sold out; here’s how to pick them up if you’ve reserved yours.
Runners’ Fair (Torre Sevilla)
Race bibs and runner’s bags will be distributed at the Runner’s Fair (Torre Sevilla Lobby) up until the day of the race:
- General schedule: 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. nonstop.
- Friday, September 25 (race day): registration will close at 9:00 p.m.
Prices and Discounts
The standard registration fee is 5.50 euros. Discounted rates are available: 3 euros for people with disabilities, 4 euros for those over 65 or individuals facing financial hardship who are registered residents of Seville, and a 10% discount for IMD season ticket holders.
Traffic closures and impacts on mobility
The special operation deployed by the Local Police and the Mobility Department will cause significant traffic disruptions starting Thursday night:
- Initial Closures (Thursday, September 24): Starting at 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, the section of Paseo de las Delicias between Glorieta de los Marineros and Avenida Moliní and Avenida La Guardia Civil will be closed to allow for the setup of the start and finish arches. The closure will last until 5:00 a.m.
- These road closures will take effect starting at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, the 25th. Las Delicias will be completely closed until 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, the 26th. In addition to Las Delicias, La Palmera Avenue will be closed, from Moliní and La Guardia Civil avenues to the intersection with Cardenal Bueno Monreal.
- The Ronda Histórica will be closed to trafficfrom approximately 9:15 p.m. to 11:50 p.m. The entire perimeter along which the race takes place (Torneo, Resolana, Ronda de Capuchinos, María Auxiliadora, Menéndez Pelayo, and Paseo de Colón) will be closed to vehicle traffic.
