This Wednesday, October 15, a 24-hour general strike has been called throughout the country in solidarity with the people of Palestine. In this regard, it is necessary to know that minimum services will be provided in transport, supply companies or emergency services in Andalusia.
The Consejería de Empleo, Empresa y Trabajo Autónomo de la Junta de Andalucía has decreed minimum services as provided by law and that translates, for example, in urban and interurban transport at 50%.
The resolution published in the BOJA details that the measures in question will remain in force from 00:00 to 24:00 hours.
The day will affect several sectors: 112 emergency service, water supply and sanitation companies, solid waste collection and surveillance and security personnel in autonomous work centers, as well as centers for minors, residences, care centers for the disabled and elderly, educational centers, companies that provide computer support, public transport concessionaires or facilities for drug addicts.
Public transport
Throughout the strike, urban and interurban transport will provide 50% of its services during peak hours (between 6:00 and 9:00, 18:00 and 21:00) with one vehicle per line the rest of the day:
- Intercity buses
- Metro
- Tramway
- Metropolitan lines within the scope of the Seville Consortium
- Also, 50% of the services will be guaranteed in a normal situation in commuter, medium and long distance services, except for lines with alternatives (in this case they will be reduced to 10%).
