The cultural agenda of a city is nothing without the indispensable contribution of the theater. Every year Seville welcomes great dramatic titles in its halls and theaters and this 2022 does not expect to be less. Few plans are more complete than a good performance in safe, cozy and fascinating spaces (often steeped in history). Seville puts on the table an interesting catalog of plays for this month. We discover the must-see plays for March.
K K K K (Kinde Küche Kirche)
Mr. Wolf. The CEMA. The Fujigolpe. The Manila Cultural Center. And the Obra Españolisima. The Bavarian vacations. The hats. The SIE. The shoes. Winning an election. The Good Juanita. And a Picasso, a Degas, a Goya, a Monet, a Michelangelo. But who is the protagonist of these lives? How much do you know about the Dictatorships?
The alliteration Kinder, Küche, Kirche, which translates into English as “children, kitchen, church”, also known as the expression “the three K’s”, is intended to represent the traditional values of women in Germany during the Third Reich. But also those of women in Chile during Pinochetism; in Peru during Fujimorism; in the Philippines during The New Society; or in Spain during Francoism. And in particular, the profile of women like Eva Braun, Lucía Hiriart, Susana Higuchi, Imelda Romuáldez and Carmen Polo.
But Eva Braun did not have children and Lucia Hiriart did not like to cook. These are not just any women, no. They are women Dictators. Or is power the patrimony of men? A rewriting of the history of the two dictatorships through the profile of these women.
If they had governed, how would history have been written? They themselves tell us in this theatrical piece of the production company About BOB and under the direction of Begoña del Castillo.
On the other hand, the company About BOB will perform a dramatized reading of a fragment of the play Documento KKK (Kinder, Küche, Kirche), generating debate on political women in dictatorship, at the Centro de Investigación y Recursos de las Artes Escénicas de Andalucía, on March 1.

Lucía Trentini brings three characters to life on stage for this police theater that uses song as a vehicle for storytelling. Música de fiambrera addresses universal themes such as love, its absence, its excess and its failure, told from a feminine point of view.
Alicia Rafaela is a woman full of innocence from the countryside. Tired of tolerating her husband’s abuse and violence, she murders him and becomes involved in an extreme situation that she must face. Alma is submerged in a world of abundance and superficiality and hits rock bottom to the point of madness. And the host of a nightly radio program, ‘Música de fiambrería’, gives space and opens her ears to the words of those who need to be heard. Its host, a bizarre and solitary character, gives way to the dialogue of these lives from an absurd and tragicomic place.
