November in Seville is the month of *Don Juan Tenorio*, which is why dozens of the city’s historic sites will host dramatized tours or performances dedicated to this time-honored play in the coming weeks.
Tomateatro returns to the courtyard of the Santa Ana School with José Zorrilla’s play, presenting a production that places *Don Juan Tenorio* just a few meters from the audience, right in the heart of the Andalusian courtyard.
Following the success of last year’s production, the company returns to the courtyard of the Santa Ana School, directed by Gustavo A. García and featuring a cast of 30 actors.
The script remains faithful to José Zorrilla’s original, although the company has taken the liberty of including some of its own touches.
Dates, showtimes, and a new feature to ward off the chill
The premiere will be on October 31. After that, there will be performances every Saturday and Sunday in November at 7:30 p.m.
Since the performance is outdoors and the evenings are getting cooler, this season each attendee will receive a blanket featuring the Tenorio logo to make watching the show more comfortable.
Free scenes in Los Remedios. On November 7, at 6:00 p.m., the company will present several scenes free of charge on Asunción Street, near number 54. The performance is organized by the Los Remedios District and serves as a preview for those who haven’t yet purchased a ticket.
Tomateatro has been performing this play continuously from 2009 to 2015. In 2025, it revived this noble tradition, which is celebrated by students, alumni, and faculty at the Seville school.
