The first sketches of autumn so far from the almanac do not invite us to wonder when the Christmas lights will be turned on in Seville this 2025. And yet the date in question is already known, which is again brought forward to the end of this month of November.
The Avenida de la Constitución crowded, huge amount of elevated cell phones ready to shoot the photo after the countdown. Families, couples and lonely waiting for the moment when Christmas in Seville gives its starting signal.
The City Council of Seville, through the Urban Planning Management, has already put out to tender the contract in question. And as for the official lighting in Seville will occur on Saturday, November 29, 2025 until January 6, 2026.
In 2022, the official start of the holidays in Seville was delayed to December 5 because of energy saving measures and last year it did so a few days before the bridge of the Immaculate Conception, on Saturday, December 2. Already in 2024 the trend pointed to advance the luminaire to November 30; this 2025 will do it just a few days earlier.
Avenida de la Constitución is filled with luminous trees.
The company Elecfes Iluminación is in charge of the installation in all districts, which amounts to 1,998,79.80 € this 2025. 304 streets, traffic circles and avenues will be filled with Christmas lights, with six new additions in the old town district.
Specifically, the Christmas decoration translates into a display of luminous trees along the Avenida de la Constitución, the return to religious motifs in terms of the lights of some main arteries and a large-scale nativity scene next to the Palacio de San Telmo.
- The lighting schedule has been specified from 18:30 to 00:00 hours, until 01:00 hours on December 24 and 31 as well as on January 5.
