Seville inaugurates its Christmas this Saturday, December 29 and, with the turning on of the lights at 18:30 hours, also includes the premiere of the Christmas ‘mapping’ that will animate the Plaza de San Francisco.
A spectacle of light, color, music and images that will be projected on the emblematic facade of the City Hall of Seville. Under the name “Acordes de Sevilla”, the show will pay tribute to three great events in Seville.
Namely: the 150th anniversary of the premiere of the opera Carmen, so closely linked to the city; the centenary of the march Estrella Sublime and the 50th anniversary of the music group Triana.
Premiere of the mapping “Acordes de Sevilla” and schedules
The projection, which lasts about 14 minutes, will be repeated every half hour in passes ranging from 18:30 hours to 23:00 hours.
In any case, on special dates such as December 24 and 31, as well as January 5, this mapping can be enjoyed until 00:30 hours.
The premiere of “Acordes de Sevilla”, in connection with the Christmas lighting, will take place on Saturday, November 29 at 21:30 hours, once the opening ceremony of the lighting is over.
On the other hand, the Salt dock will again project a story about the Guadalquivir River and its walls from December 18 as it has been doing in recent years.
