It is no surprise that the origin of the kebab is no more than an adaptation of Turkish cuisine to Western culinary practices. A similar phenomenon happened with Chinese gastronomy. As popular as three-delicious rice or chicken with almonds have become, they have little to do with the authentic recipes. Far from the preparation we consume in Spain, the latter, originally from the Sichuan region, is made with diced chicken, peanuts (or cashew nuts) and chili peppers.
It is not always easy to recognize a Chinese restaurant (the real ones) and Seville does not have a wide range of them either. However, these are some proposals that are worthwhile:
Gusto
Don’t let the location of this restaurant, in the airport’s industrial park, be a bit disconcerting: here they prepare first-class Cantonese food. Its extensive menu complicates the matter of choice, more than 200 dishes make up the offer of Gusto, but well worth the headache. Let yourself be carried away or ask for advice from the waiters of this establishment, which promises many more trips to Sevilla Este.
