The serious train accident that took place on Sunday, January 18, in Adamuz (Córdoba) has forced the cancellation of all high-speed train services between Andalusia and Madrid. As a result, thousands of passengers will be unable to travel by train throughout at least Monday.
Only trains between Madrid, Toledo, Ciudad Real, and Puertollano will be running as normal.
Renfe has confirmed thatallpassengers with tickets for last Sunday and the coming days on the affected routes will be able to change or cancel their tickets at no additional cost.
The company urges customers to consult its customer service channels, app, website, and stations. Specifically, they can choose between:
- Free change of travel date as soon as service is restored.
- Full refund of the ticket, regardless of the fare purchased.
- Relocation to other services, provided that alternatives exist on unaffected routes.
