Candlelight is the concert series that has become an international musical phenomenon thanks to its spectacular staging. A success that has long since spread throughout Spain and arrived in Seville with a program of live music by candlelight that is hard to beat. Now, to the already wide —and varied— repertoire, is added one of the most anticipated concerts by the Sevillian public: Candlelight tribute to Vivaldi in the Royal Hall of the Hotel Alfonso XIII Seville.
Candlelight: Vivaldi’s Four Seasons
The culminating work of the Italian composer, The Four Seasons, continues to fascinate despite the passing of the years. Candlelight gives you the opportunity to enjoy this famous work that marked a transition in the artistic creation of the time, in a unique atmosphere illuminated by the glow of thousands of candles.
In addition, this concert, accompanied by a string quartet or quintet (depending on the selected date), will also bring you closer to two other magnificent pieces: Intermezzo from Mascagni’s Caballeria Rusticana and Pachelbel’s Canon . The first is a well-known opera in the form of a melodrama, the second is considered the mother of all melodies as it is the basis for songs like Go West by Pet Shop Boys or Basket Case by Green Day.
Candlelight Seville transforms the best locations in the city into spectacular stages where music —classical, pop, rock, jazz or film— is mixed with the golden warmth of candles to turn your evening into a different night.
