Seville is getting ready to dress up once again. Next Saturday, April 18, La Cartuja Stadium will become the epicenter of Spanish soccer as it hosts the 2026 Copa del Rey final. This time, the trophy will be decided between Atlético Madrid and Real Sociedad.
As befits the occasion, Seville will welcome thousands of fans, drawn to this spectacle for which tickets went on sale to the public on April 1.
When and where is the final being played?
The match is scheduled for April 18, 2026, at 9:00 p.m. The venue is La Cartuja Stadium, a venue that has already become the spiritual home of Copa del Rey finals and has a capacity for approximately 60,000 spectators, divided equally between both sets of fans and the RFEF’s commitments.
How to get tickets for Atlético Madrid vs. Real Sociedad
As is customary for these events, ticket management is divided into three main channels:
Each club initially received 25,680 tickets, although the RFEF later distributed a few more among both teams.
- On one hand, Atlético de Madrid season ticket holders. The red-and-white club typically gives priority based on seniority and level of loyalty (match attendance).
- Real Sociedad members. The San Sebastián-based club typically holds a lottery among its season ticket holders due to extremely high demand.
- General public sale (RFEF). The Royal Spanish Football Federation allocated approximately 25,680 tickets to each club. For its part, it has set aside a smaller batch of tickets for the general public, which will go on sale through its official website and sell out in minutes.
As for tickets, although official prices are confirmed weeks in advance, prices range from 239 to 249 for Atlético fans; and from 89 to 282 for Real Sociedad supporters.
The cheapest sections are those located behind the goals; the most expensive are along the sidelines, in the Preferencia or Fondo sections. In any case, at this point, resale prices can exceed €1,000 and €2,000.

Will there be ‘Fan Zones’ in Seville?
As it does every year, Seville will split to accommodate both sets of fans.
In this case, the red-and-white crowd traditionally tends to occupy large areas near Alamillo Park, given its proximity to the stadium.
Meanwhile, Real Sociedad fans are expected to flood areas such as the Prado de San Sebastián or the Setas de la Encarnación before making their way to La Cartuja.
A historic showdown
This 2026 final brings us back to a legendary matchup: a rematch of the 1987 final.
Simeone’s Atlético is looking to reclaim a title that has eluded them since 2013, while Imanol Alguacil’s Real Sociedad aims to repeat the glory achieved at La Cartuja (though that time without a crowd) in 2020.
