Seville will have an air connection with Istanbul from this September with direct flights that will allow you to discover Hagia Sophia, get lost in the Grand Bazaar or see that between calls to prayer and a considerable nightlife, Istanbul is one of the most fascinating and surprising cities in the world.
Angie Moreno, delegate of Culture and Tourism, announced yesterday this news that “realizes a historical demand of the sector, which fulfills their expectations of connecting west with east through the Turkish city and its international hub, allowing the Sevillians fly directly both for leisure and business with this ancient capital.
Turkish carrier Pegasus Airlines will operate this route, which opens on September 24. Specifically, it will connect Seville with Sabiha Gökçen International Airport (SAW) with a frequency of three times a week: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Seville is the third destination served by Pegasus in Spain, after Madrid and Barcelona. As for the price of the flights, they can already be purchased at Skyscanner, with the cheapest routes being around 55 and 69 €.
For his part, Morena has insisted that “the government of Mayor Sanz continues to take firm steps to position Seville and its airport as the international benchmark in southern Europe”. And is that the direct flight with Miami (Florida) is still being negotiated.
