Corpus Christi, the Catholic feast that celebrates the Eucharist, is celebrated this 2025 in Seville before a day marked by high temperatures. In Seville it occurs 60 days after Easter Sunday; namely, on June 19.
In any case, and encouraged by the plans related to Corpus Christi, Seville will offer side activities. Concerts, exhibitions or the exhibition in the Cathedral of the nine “pasos” that take to the streets.
Open day at the Cathedral
The Cathedral of Seville, as tradition dictates, will open its doors from Wednesday afternoon so that anyone who wishes to approach to observe the 9 steps of the Corpus procession located in the trascoro.
Access will be free from 11:00 to 14:00 hours and from 19:30 hours.
Concerts and parades Corpus Christi 2025 Seville
The Council Processional Music Bands of Seville, continues one more year collaborating with the Delegation of Major Festivals of the City Council of Seville, to announce the celebration of Corpus Christi, the oldest festival of the city. This edition will be very special, as it will reach a record number of altars installed along the processional route, with a total of 16 assemblies.
June 17th
- Parade. At 21:00 hours the Youth Bugle and Drum Band Centuria Romana de la Macarena will depart from the Plaza de la Encarnación in a tour along the historic center. At the same time the Musical Grouping Maria Stma. de las Aguas Coronada will do the same from the Plaza de la Magdalena by the vicinity of El Salvador. For its part, at 21:30 hours the musical grouping Nuestro Padre Jesus de la Salud will also depart from the Magdalena.
- At 21:30 pm the Banda Municipal Liceo de Sevilla will give a concert on the stage of the Plaza de San Francisco.
June 18th
- Parade at 21:00 hours of the Musical Grouping Maria Stma. del Rocio from the Plaza de la Magdalena and the Band of Bugles and Drums Jesus Nazareno from Puerta de Jerez.
- The Agrupación Musical Nuestro Padre Jesús de la Redención will also depart from the Plaza de la Magdalena but will do so at 21:30 hours.
- Finally, the Band of Bugles and Drums Our Lady of the Angels will run through the center and Constitution Avenue from the Magdalena from 22:00 hours.
- In the Church of Consolation (Vulgo de los Terceros) will be a concert of “Las Cigarreras” at 21:30 hours.
- For its part, the Municipal Symphonic Band of Seville will offer a concert in the Plaza de San Francisco with José Manuel Soto at 21:00 hours.
Concerts in the courtyard of the orange trees of El Salvador
On the eve of Corpus Christi, Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18 June, the courtyard of the orange trees of the Collegiate Church of El Salvador will hold several concerts on the occasion of the Eucharist at 22:00 hours.
- On Tuesday 17 in charge of the Musical Association Nuestro Padre Jesus de la Salud.
- At the same time on Wednesday 18 by the hand of the Agrupación Musical Padre Jesús de la Redención.
Acquisition of chairs
The Council of Brotherhoods has arranged their seats scattered along the processional itinerary, which can already be purchased at 13 euros at the headquarters of the General Council of Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods. It is located in San Gregorio, 26 and can be purchased from 17:00 to 20:00 hours.
Those users who keep their 2024 tickets and want to repeat location can replace their seats at the offices of the Council from 9:00 to 13:00 hours.
Corpus Christi procession route
The Corpus Christi procession of Seville will start on June 19 at about 8:30 am from the Puerta de San Miguel.
As usual, will cross the Avenida de la Constitución to the Plaza de San Francisco, will run Sierpes, Cerrajería and Cuna to the Plaza del Salvador.
From there, it will take Villegas, Francos street, Placentines and Argote de Molina. It will end in Alemanes street, Cardenal Amigo Vallejo, Plaza de la Virgen de los Reyes and the access to the Cathedral through the Puerta de los Palos.
