The drastic change in the weather, with Halloween just around the corner and the first outlines of Christmas, already materialized in supermarkets, invite you to wonder when the Christmas lights will be turned on in Seville this 2024.
The Avenida de la Constitución crowded, huge amount of elevated cell phones ready to shoot the photo after the countdown. Families, couples and lonely people waiting for the moment when Seville’s Christmas kicks off.
The City Council of Seville, through the Urbanism Management, has already put out to tender the contract for the same, whose official lighting will occur, according to estimates, in the last days of November.
However, the celebration of the Magna on December 8 raises certain ambiguities regarding the height of the lights and how it could affect the procession. Therefore, the planning of the lighting or the route of the Magna could “undergo smalladjustments depending on the needs”.
For its part, the Consistory’s specifications state that the dismantling of the structures will begin on January 7, 2025.
In 2022, the official start of the festivities in Seville was delayed to December 5 because of energy saving measures and last year it did it a few days before the bridge of the Immaculate Conception, on Saturday, December 2.
